I am thinking about booking a short haul trip with Easyjet. Is it worth paying the extra for seats? It goes from being a relative cheap flight for 4 of us to jumping by £60.

Thanks

You can check in 30 days before your flight and tour seats are allocated for free. Not once have we been separated from each other, even if I have checked in a few days before travelling. So I wouldn't pay

thank you, that's good to know

Ditto - never paid, never been a problem

As noenergy says.
I’ve used EasyJet a lot, and there’s never been a problem with getting seated together. I’ve always found them an excellent airline- reliable, cheap, punctual and with good crew.

If you absolutely have to have seats together then, yes, book them. Otherwise take your chance on check in.

GemmeFatale · 03/12/2018 11:54

I’d risk it. Especially if you’re willing to be two and two or three and one

just got back on easyjet flights we were all sat together and have flown with them a number of times and it has never been a problem. I think they do what they can to be reasonable. they are doing different things with regards to cabin baggage though. there were a lot of holdalls and suitcases that they tagged at the gates and put in the hold.

I get why we all use the budget airlines , they make the most financial sense but it is such a pain in the a**se to have to read the shifting T&Cs every time to avoid extra charges. Thanks for the heads up mummymeister!
