Favourite resorts in Cyprus / Greek isles?

Dp has been to Cyprus before (8 yrs ago to Protaros) but i have never been and always wanted to go.

We are looking at booking a late deal in September and taking dd who's 3 and a half.

Where would you recommend. We like to eat out, have a nice beach, hire a car. Do not want somewhere over lively but not somehwere too quiet. Although we do not mind a village with plenty of local atmosphere and tavernas etc.

Where have you all been and what were your favourite places for a great family holiday??

dont go to agia napa its more for younger childfree people protaras and phaphos are best for families stay clear of larnaca very industrilsed limossol is nice too

We like to sample local dishes, (ie not lounge around with plenty of 18 yr old lager louts asking for a brit fry up).

However we are happy to find good places to eat and venture away from the resort of our own accord! We do however want dd to have fun and there be enough little ones to keep her happy!

i live in cyprus there are loads of little out of the way villages ect were u will get the real experience :D
