can i claim back the tax if I don't use some air tickets?

i have some easyjet flights i don't need, non refundable

It isn't worth changing them as the admin fee is almost as much as the flights

can I just demand the tax back/

I saw something about this the other day and I'm sure it said you are entitled to the tax back but you have to push for it
