Beach holiday recommendation?

Looking to take off for a beach holiday for a week at the end of June next year once DC have finished GCSEs/A levels. Must haves:
staying within easy walking distance of a sandy beach
sea that is safe to swim in and not too cold
no need to hire a car.

When we have done beach holidays before, we like to have a mix of days on the beach and days out sightseeing. Typically, in a one week holiday, we like to get out and see something other than the beach on about three of the days. Don't mind whether it's by public transport, an organised coach or boat tour or walking from the resort.

We definitely DON'T like noisy places/places that are very built up.

Last year we went to Andalucia and stayed near the Portuguese border. That suited us well. Loved having a huge sandy beach very close. We did a day trip into Portugal by public transport one day. Another day we did an organised coach tour to Seville which was a real highlight.

We've been to Menorca and Ibiza on previous holidays. This year we are looking for something new. Doesn't have to be Spain (although that would be a plus for DD who is learning Spanish at school and so appreciates being somewhere Spanish speaking). We have also been to Croatia a couple of times. We liked it, but missed having a sandy beach.

Any ideas?

Cervia in Italy on the Adriatic Coast. 30 min by train from Ravenna , Rimini and you could even stretch and visit San Marino.
Nearest airport are Rimini or Bologna.

How about Turkey? I would recommend a beautiful place called Bitez, near Bodrum. We love it there.

If you liked Ibiza, why not venture to Formentera? Only a 30 minute ferry away.

I was going to suggest Binibeca, Menorca

The Pelopponese in Greece. Lots of history, lovely beaches and warm sea.

North coast of Spain is really nice, far less likely to meet brits so that Spanish will come in handy. Plenty of sand, but also towns, hiking, caves

Lanzarote, Tenerife or Gran Canaria all lovely and lots of stuff to do. If you liked Croatia, split or hvar have lovely sandy beaches. Crete and Corfu are also both great too 😁

Don't forget the exam boards have declared 26th June a contingency day and all candidates have to be available on that day in case any exam has to be rescheduled, so don't book for then.

Corsica, either the South East or North West are my favourites.
