Car seats on flight & tips with 8mth baby

DC is 8 months so doesn't have own seat booked but we need to take car seat for the other end.

Can we take it in the cabin if we have bassinet booked or will it have to go in the hold?

Also any other tips for 10hrs trapped on a plane with a crawling baby!?!?

If there isn't a seat for your lo then I imagine it will need to go in the hold as there won't be space to store it

It will have to go in the hold. Wrap it in bubble wrap.

Which airline, have you spoken to them?.

You will need to put the securely wrapped car seat in the hold. Do not put it in the cabin; walking down a narrow plane aisle with a car seat is very hard going (and that is when you get on the aircraft, it does not take into account actually traversing through the airport).

At 8 months you may find your child is too big also for the bassinet. Ensure you have enough foodstuffs/wipes/spare clothes/nappies for the journey.
