Why are flights with Expedia more expensive than directly?

I'm looking at some Thomas Cook flights that are £400 with them directly. I have a £200 voucher for Expedia, so thought I'd use that, even if they were a little more costly.

But no :O

Expedia want £600 for the exact same flights?

Is there any way around this?

Try Lollipop.com. I booked a holiday with them earier this year and it linked me to Expedia.

Well expedia will mark it up to make profit on it, if they don’t have a deal with TC for nett rates then they need to add their own mark up.

That's a ridiculous mark up just for commision. It makes your voucher worthless.

Could they be adding luggage or other extras automatically?
