Hi ladies. Where should we go, what should we do, what should we book in advance and is there a tower worth going up?
All advice appreciated
Thanks :)

The stasi museum, Berlin east side gallery and the technology museum. Can you book into see the reichstag? Do you know where you are staying?

Go to the Monsterkabinett. The show only last about 25 mins and cost about 8 euros but really funny.
If you are there on a Sunday go to Maurerpark for the flea market on one side and all the different acts on the other.
Take a ferry to one of the villages ( its part of your transport ticket)
Go shopping around Bikini Berlin.
Go to the spy tower. Also book in for a tour around the done of the Reichstag. TThe East Side Gallery is worth a walk along.

I love Berlin!!

Watching with interest.....have just booked a four day trip to Berlin!! Going between Christmas and New Year, will it be very cold?

gussiefox · 14/11/2018 06:05

Worth being aware that even if it is very cold, layers are your friend. Trains and shops are always extremely warm so layers are most definitely your friend. I am in Berlin at the moment and it is chilly but I spent the morning Christmas shopping and really struggled with overheating in the shops/on the tube.

Thank you ladies. I'm looking into these now :)

When you get to the airport ask at the tourist info desk for a Berlin pass. I think it was about 36euro for four days and covers you to/from the airport, all the trains busses and trams. Just so worth it- and also gives you 15-20% discount at loads of attractions. I really like the TV tower. We picked a quiet time of the day and had s couple of drinks in the bar at the top.

Kreuzberg is cool!

Brilliant city break destination. We did the Fat Bike Cycling tours when we were there (about 4 years ago) and was a fun way to see lots of the city. Also a morning in Potsdam was well worth it.

Reichstag probably needs to be booked in advance, similarly if you want to eat at the TV Tower I would book.

The boat trip is good and informative but might be freezing at this time of year!

Tiergarten is lovely for a walk.

Palace of Tears is recommended - we missed it but it's meant to be very good and is on the list for next time.

And the Ampelmann shop!

Beautiful city - have fun!
