Holiday - where to?!

Hi,
We are hoping to book a holiday for Summer 2019, 4 adults and 4 kids aged 1-13...somewhere hot, with a town and a beach near by. We have no idea where to start looking, Spain, Portugal, Majorca. Totally open to suggestions.

We haven't been away with the kids on a hot holiday ever and have a decent budget as we've been saving for a long time.

Hotel? Self catered?

Probably hotel, but breakfast only. Not keen on having evening meal every night in a hotel.

Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca is lovely. Lots of cafes and restaurants, a marina, boat trips, lovely beaches with great facilities.

I stayed in Fergus Style Pollensa Park but all inclusive. 2 mins to the beach and 15-20 min walk to the main bit but various shops and restaurants along the way.

Would like to warn people about using and giving any money to Sun International Hotels, that include owned by Kerzner holdings and One and Only resorts, they are linked with a past of bribery and fraud and are still doing it, having just scammed and cheated my sister out of 700 pounds offering her a job in the Bahamas that does not exist, leaving her stranded at an airport waiting for the ticket, having extorted monies from her. we have evidence they used fraud and bribery, their letters are fake and the persons who wrote them do not even exist as is the law firm they said was processing the work permit. please use your research, they are a deceiful and dishonest company that have criminals operating within the company.

DO NOT GO TO ANY ONE AND ONLY RESORTS, ANY RESORTS OWNED BY SUN INTERNATIONAL OR KERZNER HOLDINGS. THEY ARE NOT ONLY UNETHICAL AND HAVE A PAST OF BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION AND FRAUD BUT ARE STILL DOING IT. DISGUSTING FRANCHISE.

I'd avoid Majorca to be honest. Mosquito hell. Go further to almost guarantee the weather. Corralejo was good and seems to fit your criteria. Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria is similar and the beach was great for swimming with kids

Or Cyprus, Paphos. The Athena Beach hotel is lovely.
