Places to go in Dartford Tunnel area

Hi,
I'm arranging to meet friends for a day out with our children (all between 1 & 2 yrs).
We think the Dartford Tunnel area is roughly halfway (between Suffolk and West Sussex) so looking for any suggestions.
Something along the lines of a zoo or farm but also a rainy day backup just in case.
Probably don't want to travel more than 30mins from Dartford as half way is already an hours drive.
Thanks

Whale of a Time at Greenhithe is a back up for a wet day - just along the road from the Dartford Tunnel on the way to Bluewater.

Am thinking... it's my neck of the woods.

There is a nice country park, Shorne Wood - just along the A2 - google it. There is an enviromental centre, lovely gladed woodlands for picnics and ball games, marked trails to walk, BBQ area, gift shop. We go there alot for family picnics.

Click on the Nearby tab and you'll see what else is in the area. Should give you some ideas and options. Good luck
