Anyone done it? How did you find the process? Any discounts? Any tips?
Hoping to book for summer 2008. TIA

Do it every year with French Life - it's a doddle and well worth it if you have enough vouchers.

Save up your voucehrs till you have enough to pay for all or at least most of your holiday as they won't let you qualify for any of the other discounts with the tesco vouchers. You need to have your vouchers converted to FL vouchers from tesco when you're ready to book. I always phone up and get the quote so I know how many vouchers to convert. If you get a nice person on the phone they may reserve your holidays for you while you wait for the vouchers to come through. best to book your vouchers online through the tesco website as they come quicker. You have to spend more than £500 and they will now only let you use your vouchers on a dover/calais crossing - thye used to let you book any of the crossings using the vouchers but keep introducing new rules each year!

Where are you going? Chosen the site yet?

Good luck!

Thanks. Interesting about the crosssing. DH prefers a long crossing to cut down the driving, so maybe will have to book that separately (don't mind paying cash if the caravan is free).
Probably Southern Brittany, as we're going to the north coast this summer. Any recommendations? We've been to Benodet. Walking distance to the beach and shops, decent swimming pool on site. Out of Siblu & CL who have the nicest vans?

We prefer FL/CL as Siblu is Hasven Europe and the sites tend to be a bit bigger, busier and British!! Rory the Tiger n all that! We stayed in a Siblu site in St Jean de Monts (Le bois Masson) and had a good time but were glad we weren't there in peak season!! Saying that the sister Siblu site across the road looked lovely.(Le bois dormant)

If you're looking for recommendations here are our top campsites:

Camping Mane Guernehue in Baden, gulf of Morbihan in Brittany - fab site , best pool comples, loads of facilities for kids, can walk to village but you have to drive to a beach
Camping Acapulco - St Jena de Monts. in vendee not Brittany but great site, close to beach - can walk there and to local amenities. Close to major attractions like zoos, safari parks, Le Grand Parc and les dunes.

Camping les deux Fontaines in Raguenes BRittany. Hope it's fab cos we're going in Aug! Check out the website rather than the brochure picture as the brochure doesn't do it justice. Wlaking distance to beach again.

We also stayed at Canping Village la plage in Le Guilvenic Brittany. It was a bit basic pool and bar wise but nice layout and right ona lovely beach. It actually closed down on us at the end of the season so watch out if you're going in Aug/Sep!!

Hope you find one you like!!

Thanks leslaki. Did you have to pay the full brochure price with CL, to pay with tesco vouchers? Are their mobiles nice? I'm a bit worried that after going with Thomson Al Fresco this summer we won't want to go with anyone else

Yes, it's full brochure price if you're using the vouchers unfortunately. The mobiles are lovely - never had a problem! Oh, we had a very scraped 'non stick' frying pan once but that was changed immediately.
We always book the 3 bedroom mobiles for tyhe extra space and they don't cost much extra. Y+The FL web site shows the mobiles and the pictures are accurate. If you're camping this year have a nosey at other vans. Don't look at the huge canvas mobiles with dishwashers tho cos you'd never want any other kind and they are expensive!!!
