Aquitaine/Basque Country Family Holiday recommendations

We're planning to euroshuttle/road trip across France in 2019 to visit friends in Biarritz and then have a week at some kind of family friendly destination afterwards.

Ideally hoping for somewhere with laid on entertainment for 9 and 12 year olds (swimming, evening cabaret etc) and lots of potential for day trips. Don't want to camp :)

Has anyone visited such a place in either region?

There are several places like this in both Moliets and Hossegor, plus lovely beaches and the opportunity for surf lessons etc. I've not been for years so can't vouch for a particular complex but if you google it should throw up a few ideas.
