can you wear abackpack with a hip seat

Need to travel alone with 3 kids in the summer & was thinking of getting a hip seat for dd2 who will be 10 months, but can I wear a largish backpack with one? As you don't get the pushchair back until after all the luggage at the airport(why oh why??) & I won't need it where I'm going I'm looking for travel alternatives

I would think that her leg would get in the way of the backpack

You might be better off with something like a pouch sling (coorie) or similar.

Sling is hands free - hipseat is not.
