Algarve in the rain

We fly to Faro tomorrow for a week in Carvoeiro. Weather forecast is wet and cold. We hadn't planned to rent a car - any tips on what to do? Not sure what to pack either. DC are 6 and 8

We are in rainy Spain at the moment. Pack waterproof coats, a few jumpers and some wellies and just enjoy it! We have brought some card games, books and colouring stuff. Our boys are 4 and 17months. Just being in a new place makes rain more exciting for them. Our last holiday in Bulgaria was thunder storms for most of it but it didn’t spoil it. DS1 said ice cream tasted better in the rain 🙂

I'd hire a car if I were you and explore.

There's a great shopping centre we go to near Portimao called Aqua. Lagos is a nice town.

Can't think of a lot to do there in the rain TBH.

@Costacoffee lives there and might be able to advise more.

We just came back from Algarve and went to Aqua on Friday when it rained.

A car is needed to get there.

The shopping centre was nice and the top floor has many options for food (and a small arcade area which you might want to avoid enjoy).
