Lapland trips - to prebook or not?

We are going to Lapland at the end of November. We're doing it ourselves (not a package). We have 2 full days in Rovienmi. Can anyone recommend whether to pre-book trips / if there's any/much price difference than doing it when you get there / any companies which you have found good / not so good / any trips that are must dos / you wouldn't do again. Thanks

Do a husky ride. We precooked via the local tourist board

Thank you OK. That's the one trip we had in mind. All the trips seem soo expensive though. It looks like for 2 adults and 2 children we'll be looking at in excess of £500 which isn't far off the flights to Finland cost! Do you mind me asking how much you paid? How else did you feel the time outside the usual Santa visit as I'm not sure we can stretch to multiple £500's

Have you contacted the tourist information? We used them for everything. We paid £3200, but that included ski passes, lessons, kit hire, trips, the lot. Having paid more to ski in France we thought it was a bargain.

Absolutely do the husky driving. It was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. The dogs clearly enjoyed it and were lovely and friendly and well looked after. They loved the attention afterwards.

I just felt sorry for the poor dogs who puled the sleigh with two very overweight people on it. They couldn't travel as fast as the other dogs, and I had to keep putting the brakes on because my dogs kept wanting to go faster.
