Looking into visiting the Caribbean, and what islands are worth making sure are on the itinerary? Any recommendations?

Hi travelinterest,
The Caribbean has incredible variety but you need to differentiate between wet and dry season so it depends on when / where you go. We're approaching the end of hurricane season now and moving into peak season for the Carribbean so if you're looking to cruise the Caribbean, let us know how many of you are going and when. I'll suggest a few places and all the other amazing people here will add / contribute.
My personal favourites?

1. The island of Cozumel, where I took part in an America's Cup yacht race,
2. Seeing the Panama Canal (and touching a ship as she went by!),
3. Curacao - astonishing snorkelling,
4. The Cayman Islands - swimming with stingrays,
5. St Lucia - the home of Hotel Chocolat

6 The Turks and Caicos - the only time I allowed anyone to massage me (Ayurvedic spa - way beyond my budget but worth it!) Best! Chris
