Wet weather in Barcelona

Can anyone recommend something to do in the rain in Barcelona? I don't mind walking round if it's a bit rainy but we are leaving tonight and tomorrow is going to be torrential rain!

There's an amazing restaurant inside the market called El Quim (honestly!)

Go there

Casa Batllo and the aquarium

Museum of Modern Art (MACBA) and there are some great shopping centres.

What's we just got back from Barcelona last night...I have a photo of that restaurant purely from a childish comedy pov Grin but didn't actually try it. Looked really busy though!

I’m intrigued about this restaurant!

It’s pouring with rain as expected. We’ll get the hop on hop off bus today and check out these places.

This is the one you're after...

It might be worth checking out the Magic Fountains at Montjuic tonight if you want something for later. Show starts at 9pm and lasts half an hour, it's about 10 minutes walk from Espnayol station on L3.

Get there early as it will be heaving, but if you're near the front you will get wet anyway so the rain won't matter!

La Boqueria market is fab. Picasso museum. Aquarium. Do you have kids with you?

My top restaurant recommendation is RAO. Bloody marvellous place.

Well it pissed down all day but we still had a good day. Went to Casa Battlo which was fab (well me and 17 year old dd loved it, 11 year old dd not so much). Had great tapas lunch followed by the gothic cathedral.

Going to see fountain show tonight. Tomorrow - Sagrada Familia and flamenco show in the evening.

Fancy trying El Quim too!

Around the corner from Sagrada is Sao Paulo hospital - a must! And free entry to all museums on Sunday....
