Working abroad: Kuwait

DD has the chance to work in Kuwait for a short-time

Will she need a visa (1 days work) - I think the company may be dealing with this actually

Is there anything she needs to be aware of?

We have looked at .gov.uk but wondered if there was anything else we needed to be aware of?

DD is mixed race (Jamaican & British) and DH & I haven't travelled anywhere even near this area so we don't know what it's like.

TIA

Kuwait is 'dry' (no alcohol allowed to be sold or consumed, except perhaps in some hotels) so I would urge caution and not drink at all if I were her, just to err on the safe side.
I don't think her ethnicity will be any problem, it's quite cosmopolitan AFAICR. (Been a while)

I'm not sure exactly what the rules are on covering up, (as a woman) these days but I don't think it's anything like as bad as Saudi. But again it's probably best to err on the side of caution.

Thanks

It's a bit scary and she's only 20 so I worry
