Meeting a friend half way on Sunday.

We will have five kids 4, 5, 5, 6, 8 with us.

I was hoping an out door activity, or anything really?!

Help - TIA

Itcham Valley Country Park has some lovely marked trails. The Play Trail is a short walk designed for children with nice play equipment involved along the route. For a longer family walk, the 2 mile Totem Trail is a mystery trail where the kids have to compete to spot the 4 hidden totem poles. Patience required: there's some distance in between them! On top of that there's the 2 mile Meadows Nature Trail. There's a small play area for the under 9s and a large adventure play area and a fun trail links the areas with climbable animal sculptures en route! Children's activities and events are also held seasonally throughout the year so check ahead.

Agree that the Science Centre is good - I think there's a park and ride service from St Catherine's car park in half term. There's also a 'witches and wizards' thing on the Watercress Line (steam trains) over at Alresford. If you want something cheap, easy and central, there's a Hallowe'en walking trail round the town, think you start off at Tourist Info Centre in the guildhall who can give you info sheets etc. They can also point out where the park is If all else fails!
