CenterParcs France: anyone know the region around Alencon, Argentan, Evreux, Chartres?

Good afternoon. DH, our 2 DSs and I are going to CenterParcs Les Bois Francs for a week at the end of July. The Parc is located in the region near Alencon, Argentan, Evreux and Chartres. Is there, by chance, anyone around who knows this area (or has stayed at CenterParcs Les Bois Francs) and can recommend any places to visit? The DSs are aged 12 and 9. Thanks.

Chartres has a magnificent cathedral. To my recollection, the area around htere was flat with miles of wheatfields and water towers.
