Climb the cobbled streets to the Castle of St George.

Visit the Palace and gardens of Sintra (give yourself a full day).

There’s a great little street filled with places to eat, hostels and a fantastic bookshop- I’ll google what it was called and come back.

I’m keeping an eye on this, because despite only being there in August, because there was so much more to see, so I’ll definitely be going back.

Ok- the cool Street is called LXFactory. The place we ate there was a warehouse with a roof terrace cocktail bar and top floor restaurant- the food was very good. It was called Rio Maravilha.

Go to the TimeOut Market for lunch

Yes- fab food- but be prepared to grab available stools quickly!

We were only there for a day as part of a cruise, but we hired a Tuk tuk for three hour tour. Easy way to see most of the sights without loads of walking and they do a guided tour with stops.
