We have just arrived with our DS11. Very last minute idea so have not made many plans. Is there anything anyone can recommend that we definitely shouldn’t miss?

Go up the tower at Sagrada Familia...need to book online.

We did this a couple of weeks ago. It was very good. Park Guell is another must see, but again you normally need to book. Or queue.

Fun fair and big wheel down by the beach.

Todayisanewday75 · 19/10/2018 12:41

Which beach for the fun fair?

Your ds is likely to enjoy Poble Espanyol.

The fun fair I suspect is Tibidabo, it's not by the beach.

Bright side tour

Especially the motorbike & side car one. The guide is really interesting & the bike can fit up some tiny lanes where the buses can’t go.
Go to Bubo for the best cakes too.

He might enjoy the sex museum on La Ramblas Grin

I also liked the old cathedral in the gothic quarter, you can go up on the roof. When I went we didn't take dc so spent a lot of time mooching about drinking sangria.

We didn't book or queue for Parc Guell. We had a tour of the Gaudi house museum which was nice.

I do regret not going to the food market - the Boqueria (?). People say it's amazing even if you're not buying food.

Todayisanewday75 · 19/10/2018 14:32

Tickets for the Sagrada Familia tomorrow seem to be sold out, is it worth risking long queues?

You can do a day trip to Portadventura Theme Park via bus or train!

Greywind1523 · 19/10/2018 14:46

We really enjoyed Parc Guell and we did a Segway tour with Barcelona Segway Glides which I’m sure your DS would enjoy.

The food market as other have said is worth seeing plus a walk down Las Ramblas and along the seafront.

We didn’t end up going up the Sagrada Familia tower as it was closed due to rain but it’s definitely worth a look inside.

www.barcelona.de/en/barcelona-parc-ciutadella.html The parc and the zoo. Big wheel is on the seafront towards Barcelonetta. Cable car across the harbour.

camp nou stadium tour if he likes football is worth a visit

twosoups1972 · 23/10/2018 17:24

Is it worth doing a guided tour at Sagrada Familia? We are going on Friday and I want to pre-book.

Hope you're having a great time OP!
