Passport renewal for an adult

Can anyone give me a list of the documents and information I need to renew an adult UK passport? I need to apply for my BIL, and he's coming over tomorrow, but I can't find a list online of what he'll need to bring. TIA

For a renewal you just need the old passport. You can take your own pic now and upload on the online application form... then you just send the old passport in.

Renewal needs photos, old passport and the form. You don't need anything else
