Change boarding pass names or update passports?

Hi so it’s a bit complicated but please any advice would be great..
We travel next year me, dh, ds and dd who is due soon. Me and ds now have different surnames to what’s on our passport due to marriage, mines now double barrelled and ds’s has gone from being double barrelled to just his dads surname. I’ve booked the holiday in our new names and now realised these don’t match our passports, should I pay the £50.00 to amend the boarding passes so they match our passports or just bite the bullet and pay the £150.00 to change our passports so they are correct?

How long do the passports have left? If it’s not long I would change them otherwise just change the ticket.

Mine has 7 years and ds’s has 2 years left 😬

Go for the cheapest option.

Phone the airline direct and explain what’s happened and they will probably do it for free. I had the same thing booked a holiday in my name and my wife’s passport was in her maiden name they changed it for free at the airport.
