CP Sherwood or Whinfell Opinions Pls

Hi there
I am looking at booking a winter wonderland break at either CP whinfell or Shwrwood Forest

Anyone been to either and have any preference either way?? Whether it was for the winter breaks or any other time of year

We haven’t been to CP before but think it may offer us a good solution for a Xmas break in early Dec. We will have a 2 and a 7 year old if this is relevant not sure if one is better than the other or one more suited to the winter wonderland theme

Whinfell is nice in Winter because the shops/ restaurants are inside as well as the pool. Sherwood is better in summer because it has a better beach area.
I haven’t done a Christmas break though so can’t help on how they do Santa etc.

Go to the nearest one. No point travelling far in winter when they similar.
Choose a villa closest to pool area .

Whinfell. When we arrived at Sherwood I wanted to leave straight away.
