Hi! Looking to book Maldives for December with 2 year old and 4year old. Any recommendations for kids friendly places! Thanks!

It depends on your budget but I would aim for a larger island than a small one. Which larger island then depends on what you wish to do there. For example is a house reef important to you? A kids club? What dining options do you want? And how much can you afford to spend.

House reef would be nice but not a must. Stayed atmosphere Kanifushi last year which was lovely but fancy somewhere different

Niyama - heaven and perfect for kids

If you're not interested in a house reef, then somewhere like lux would work. It's close to Male, so trip from the airport is short and sweet.

How was Kanifushi? we’re going in June with our 11 and 7 year old. Any tips? Is there any reason for not going back?

Depending on your budget, there are 3 options that I would recommend:

  1. The Constance Moofushi where the children have sports activities, an entertainment lounge, babysitting available upon request and kids menus available in all restaurants .
  2. Shangri-La's Villingili Resort and Spa has a Cool Zone: a kids area with supervised activities and games to entertain all ages as well as babysitting and childcare.
  3. Kuredu Resort and Spa has a Max Mermaids & Pirates Kid’s Club (for ages 3–12 years), with toys and games, a children’s wading pool, cots and extra beds by request, sterilisers, bottle-warmers and child-friendly menus available. It also includes a babysitting service and board games including chess, chequers and Scrabble available from bars.
if you need any more detailed information, please do let me know.

Lily beach, vilu reef or vilamendhoo might be good options
