Martinhal sagres or pine cliffs

Currently looking at both of these for a week next June. Has anyone any recommendation for one or the other? One thing that is turning me off sagres is the reports of the wind. Pine cliffs looks nicer but trip advisor reviews are not great.

Any suggestion for somewhere else in Portugal that has a kids club for very young kids (1 and 4) would be appreciated

I’m currently at the Pine Cliffs Ocean Suites (2 bedroom with a pool view). It is beautiful and just amazing. I had become worried recently as some reviews were quite negative, but I don’t know where those people stayed!! We’re going to visit Martinhal tomorrow to see what it’s like with a view to next year’s holiday. Will update then, but seriously Pine Cliffs is gorgeous.

Ps our 2 year old went to the kids club today and loved it. It’s very safe and close to the Ocean Suites

Are the pools at pine cliffs heated?

Only one of the outdoor pools is heated which is a shame. We have been using that one and the indoor pool. We’re at Martinhal
just now. It’s in a lovely location but it’s quite windy and exposed. There’s not much shade and none in the kids play area. At Pine Cliffs there’s a large play area which is mostly covered by the large trees which is good.

Thank you! I've been to martinhal quinta and martinhal cascais and people we net there said sagres was too windy. I've been wanting to try pine cliffs but was worried about cold pools!

Pine Cliffs is very nice but the pools were freezing when we went (May I think)

The pools are very cold but the one that is heated (beside the golf clubhouse) and the indoor pool are absolutely fine temperature wise. Having visited Martinhal today, our future vote definitely goes to Pine Cliffs. It is absolutely beautiful. The staff are so attentive, but not in your face.

We went to the Martinhal a few years back. It was windy to the point it got a bit annoying. It didn’t spoil the holiday though. The staff are great, especially in the kids club and we still talk about the fab breakfasts we had at the Martinhal.
