Flying with 7 month old

We're looking to book a holiday for August 2019. Our baby is due in January so will be 7 months. I'm really confused about taking a pushchair. We have a Cosatto Wow which i think will be too big and bulky to take with us, however will baby be old enough to use a cheap fold up buggy style pushchair?

Does anyone have any recomendations of best airline to fly with? It's only to France so not too far!

Wouldn’t worry about the airline, they’re all much of the same so I’d go with whatever suits you best on flight times, budget etc.

As for the pram, it will need to be checked as 1 piece of luggage. So if your seat on the Cosatto separates from the frame then you’ll need to get a bag. Stroller should be fine for a 7MO though and would be my preference, just make sure it has a decent recline for naps. And a sunshade.

I have a cosatto wow but chose to take a lightweight stroller instead. I'm so pleased I did as the cosatto wow is quite bulky and heavy for travel (compared to strollers). However I was also on my own so only had one pair of hands so it was particularly important I travelled light.

Bear in mind when you get to France you won't get the pushchair until baggage reclaim so a baby carrier is invaluable to get from the plane and through passport control.

Buy a cheap umbrella stroller, they can get a bit battered on the plane. I would also recommend a baby carrier as you dont get the stroller back until baggage reclaim and passport control can take a while. Its also very handy to have baby in carrier getting on and off plane too.
