Passport Photo for 5yo - How?!

Can you advise the best way to take a passport photo for my 5 yo son?

I'm sure as a baby I took it at home, printed a template with a set of them at a photo booth. Any site recommendations to do this?

Or, a friend has mentioned you can go into Max Spielmann type place to have them done?

Any advice really welcome!

Timpsons or Jessops?

Mindchilder · 24/09/2018 14:35

I do my kids at home against a white wall or sheet and send off to Paspic.

Yes, Max Spielman, Jessop's etc will all take a photo and guarantee that it will be accepted by the passport office. About £10

I also use the paspic website

Another recommendation for paspic. Have used them a few times now, no issues at all

Paspic user here too

We’ve always used the local Snappy Snaps for all our passport photos. They make sure the photos fit within the regulations, as others have said, costs about £10.

Another rec for Max Spielman, had our DS pp photo done there when he was a few months old!

Zillcat · 24/09/2018 14:41

Max Speilman did my 3 month old twins with no fuss or bother, only took 5 minutes for both.
£10 for 4 pictures and a memory stick with a copy on.

Had my 5 year old's done at Max Spielman earlier this summer. Took one minute, they are very experienced and it was so simple. If I'd tried to take it myself or used a photo booth I suspect we'd have been at it all day... It was £9.99 IIRC but that was with a copy on a USB stick and they also uploaded it onto the governmental portal automatically.

Reporting back, in the end I took photos on my iPhone and created photo template using this site:

www.epassportphoto.com

It has a guide so you make sure the head is the right size.

Printed at Boots for 40p and it can back approved from Passport office! Bargain!
