Hi.

Am new to this site. Am currently preg for the 6th time. This will be my 3rd baby though all being well. Have a dd who is 2 and 4 months and ds who is 9 months. Am seriously considering purchasing the Phil and Teds e3 with most of the accessories but have a few questions if anyone could help i'd be really grateful!

  1. The double up kit seat is pictured at the rear of the buggy, is this the same seat I have seen on the front of the buggy also on some sites?

  2. Can a buggy board be used on the back of the e3 with the rear seat in place? DD will only just about be 3 when new baby gets here and I do some serious walking and can't expect her to walk everywhere. If buggy board can be fitted is there one particular one to suit the e3?

  3. Is there any other sun protection beside the sun/bug mesh that can be used? I know the front seat will take a ray shade or parasol, but can the rear seat have anything else used on it?

Thanks in advance
Claire

Hiya, I have this pram but without the double attatchments as i have one child. I was shown all the bits before i bought it so i know the second seat can go on top or underneath. It has something to do with age but i can't remember. A lady told me her todler doesn't like sitting in the underneath bit for a long time because it's boring (obviously). I think it would be fine for an older child like yours who may only use it on some occassions. The mesh covers both bits but you have to buy the bigger one. I love the pram but some may find it too heavy if you constantly have to put it in and out of the car. I walk a lot and i do think it's a fab pram for serious walkers. Don't bother buying the coccoon, it's short lived but a sleeping bag would be handy for the flat position. Don't know about a buggy board, you may be able to have the seat on top and on the bottom but experiment at the shop (i'm sure they'll say for safety reasons you shouldn't)

  1. yes it is the same seat

  2. there is no way you could have a buggy board on when its in double mode

  3. IMO the bottom seat doesnt get that much sun cause the front seat shades it.

The front seat has the hood and you could stick a sun shade on.... you could also get the whole complete suncover which is like a rain cover but for sun

given your middle child will be 9months it might be worth ghetting the new version of the P&T where the doubles seat reclines slightly!

It is very easy to push... maybe in the early days you could have your baby in a sling and your other 2 in the P&T
