Really want to use Tui because they have Dreamliner planes and they are nice but the hotel I want isn’t available in Mexico.
Thomas Cook have availability but the reviews on Skytrax are not good.
Any one have any experience of them please?

Flew on the dreamliner for the first time in August to Mauritius (12 hours). I didn't think it was anything special. Food was typical aeroplane meals, seats comfy, film choice OK there was nothing to complain about. Overall it was a nice flight. We were in the normal class though so no idea what the premium seat experience is like.

Sorry, just read your question again and realised your not asking about the Dreamliner 🙄

I've flown to NY and Barbados with Thomas Cook in the last year, and both flights were perfectly fine, no problems at all.

I flew Thomas Cook to New York this year and it was perfectly fine.

I flew to Egypt (5 hours) with Thomas Cook and it was horrible. Far more cramped up feeling than Tui. Plus poor lady in front of me had a broken seat that stuck half reclined on one side only, so kept leaning around saying sorry to me.

I have flown on a Dreamliner to Mexico before and the standard of plane and entertainment was so much better than Virgin and BA

I've flown to Los Angeles and the Dominican Republic with TC and thought they were great. Plenty of leg room (for a plane anyway!) food ok, nice staff, a few movies and TV programmes for free, then £5 to upgrade to the full package.

I'd do it,
x

Thanks Curly

Have flown to NY with TC & it was fine (was their first season MAN-JFK though) but I think they’re a bit inconsistent.

Also sometimes it’s not them, it’s Condor or some other codeshare thing, & they’re not so good.

Flew with them to San Fran. Was ok - food nice. No free alcohol ShockEntertainment package needed paid for though.
Dreamliner superior but price and availability decided it for us. Was alright experience and got us were we wanted to go cheaply.

I went to turkey with them this year and it was the worst plane I've ever been on.

The Thomas cook planes are fine but you have to pay for alcohol and £5 for the screens.

Now if they use an Air tanker flight which they did on our Boston flight. They don't have screens at all.
