Hi

My family and I have booked to go to Jandia, Fuerteventura for October half term for a week. We're staying in TUI Magic Life.

It will be the first holiday in 4 years and with DS who is 3.

Can anyone recommend any activities/ places to visit whilst we are there?

We've just come back from a week there. Not a huge amount going on outside the hotel or for younger children. Read trip advisor reviews as they are quite good. It's a nice holiday but I wouldn't say amazing.

I went to Oasis Park many years ago while staying there. It is a zoo with hands on encounters, bird shows etc.
The waves on Jandia beach were a fab experience in themselves and kept children (and adults) happy for hours, though I am not sure if it will be warm enough in October for the beach and sea.

I like Jandia. Most of the activities I would recommend are for older children though. For a very quick 10 minutes activity there is a turtle sanctuary at the harbour, which is also nice for a little meander.
My dts loved wandering around looking at boats at that age.
The beaches are beautiful and we spent a lot of time in the sea.
Hope you have an amazing holiday.

We will also be in Jandia during October half term. DaphneFanshaw What kind of activities would you recommend for old children please? My DDs are 9 and 12.

Beach is beautiful

Zoo was surprisingly very good.

Quiet and windy

But nice

I meant OLDER, sorry!

Grin at old children.
I would really recommend going into the mountains and to some of the wilder beaches the other side of them. We booked a tour that we loved. My dts were 7 at the time and loved it. You can go up the mountains in quad bikes if you like that sort of thing too.
There is also a subcat, a submarine catmaran which is quite good, we went one February but didn't see many fish. It was quite fun though.

They're all pretty close to Jandia too at the harbour.

Thank you DaphneFanshaw Love the sound of the mountains and wilder beaches. Also the submarine catamaran. I think the quad bikes would be a bit too adventurous for us though! Is there anywhere good for snorkelling in Jandia?

Great beach, windy.
Lots of Germans.
