Will we need extra bedding in Italy?

Anyone been to Italy this last month or so? In a caravan?

We're off on Sunday to stay in a caravan up on a hill in Tuscany. Weather forecast for Florence says 18 overnight and a little less for Pisa. Caravan provides one blanket each only.

DH is concerned and thinks we should take sleeping bags.

what do you think??? Tell me your experiences?

It has been as low as 12 overnight on the weather forecast in the last week.

Will one blanket in a caravan be enough?

Anyone?

We are just back from a week in a caravan on a hill in Tuscany... Norcenni Girasole campsite.

To be honest the weather wasn't great while we were there and the nights were quite chilly. We went with Canvas and had plenty of blankets in our caravan so we were ok, but one blanket each would definitely not have been enough last week.

I live in Tuscany and you will be glad to know that the weather today is beautiful and warm so figures crossed it remains. Goldfish is right, last week the weather was pretty miserable which is extremely unusal for June. We live 600 meters up in the hills and are currently sleeping under one sheet and one over blanket. I'd say you should be warm enough. Have a fab holiday.

You live in Tuscany.

Thanks for the tip that that weather last week was unusual though. We were watching the forecasts in a most concerned way!

I think we'll risk it - we're pretty much up to our baggage allowance as it is - and for heavens sake they must sell blankets in Italy if it turns out to be unbearable...

Hope you enjoyed Norcenni Girasole Goldfish, it looked very nice in the brochure.
