Ive just signed into www.1off.com and found some really different and intersting places to visit, some I may even take the kids to! ;)

how about -for Londoners -a swim at Brockwell Lido or a trip to spitalfield market

it covers all over the UK.

Or try www.IdeasForTheKids.com which covers the whole UK. It's still in beta (ie not all functionality there yet and a few bugs here and there), but it is pretty comprehensive.

on 1off.com you can do postcode searches to find places near to you or add your own content and reviews.

the ideas for Kids looks promisng as well.
