Weekend in Stratford on Avon

Going away with DH for 4 nights from next Thursday. We’d like to stay outside of Stratford, preferably a nice pub with a restaurant. Looking to pay up to £500 for 4 nights b and b for two. Been looking at Trip Advisor and Booking.com but I am being put off by negative reviews, even if they have more good ones. I’d be grateful for recommendations if anyone has been there. Or would we be better staying in Stratford and Avon itself? We’ll also be visiting the British Motor Museum and Compton Verney. Apologies for wittering!

Thanks very much for your recommendation - I’m assuming you’re not the owner! Unfortunately, it isn’t quite what we’re looking for, all the rooms are family rooms with 3 beds - we’d prefer to have a double room with space to sit as there’s no guest lounge. I am hoping to find something a bit more old fashioned on the outside but with all mod cons and restaurant with gourmet chef on the inside, that isn’t on a main road. Fussy? Moi?
