An Hoi, Vietnam - Beach or Town

Hi, Trying to decide whether to stay in the town or at the beach - does anyone have any advice? Can see the advantages of both! Thanks.

Stayed out of town at big hotel on the beach which ran a shuttle service into town or just got a taxi which was very cheap. Hoi An was very busy and hotel (July) so was nice to be at the beach. Loved Hoi An

town - recommend la siesta resort which is about 15 mins walk to the old town. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to the town and the beach.
Hoi An is lovely.

We are here at the moment! Staying at the edge of the Old Town in Ha An hotel and getting very cheap taxis (3 quid e/w) to the beach. Hoi An is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been but it is incredibly hot and humid at the moment!

We stayed on tne beach, very relaxing and cooling sea in tne day, pop in and out of our room, stroll to a beach cafe (at ‘Hidden Beach) for lunch, and get the free shuttle into the town for the evening.

The town is at it’s most beautiful in the evening.

We were out and about on day trips quite a lot during the day, too.

Thanks everyone. We were looking at Palm Beach Resort and Victoria An Hoi at beach and at the Silk Marina as the in town option! At the moment we are swaying towards the beach!

The beach at the Palm Beach Resort is quieter than the Victoria Hoi An end. The Victoria Hoi An end is closer to more touristy shops etc, but at Pal beach end there are 4 or four excellent beach cafes at Hidden Beach, very cheap and excellent. and corner shops etc.

We stayed at Boutique Hoi An and loved it.

Boutique Hotel Hoi An on the beach was fantastic!

We stayed at the Bictoria for half the trip and the gorgeous gem ‘Ha An Hotel’ for the other half. Two slightly different experiences.
