Anyone know much about Air bnb and the reviews?

Is there a delay on putting reviews on Air bnb? Can owners delay or not add them? This property I booked last year had 30 reviews then and all were fairly recent but nothing since April this year and it's making me nervous as it was booked all summer yet seemingly not a single review. Anyone know about this stuff??

No. You have 14 days after checkout to write a review and the review will be public either when the host/guest also writes a review or at the end of those 14 days.

I am not sure what % of guests don't leave a review, but I think it's probably quite high. That said it does seem unusual to have no reviews for a long period if the property was regularly booked over that period (unless there were only a few bookings but for long periods). But maybe if there were already lots of good reviews guests felt that they would not really adding anything by just saying what others had already said, so didn't bother writing one?

It could be that they have had bookings through other channels.

I have a property listed and it's also on booking.com where I'd say 95% of my bookings have come from.

It may have been marked as unavailable all summer but that doesn't mean it was rented out at all. Perhaps the family use it in the summer months and it's only let on Airbnb at certain times of year, hence lack of recent reviews?

Lots of places save the summer months for other booking sites because Airbnb keep the money until after the guests arrive and guests can cancel. Other sites pass the money on to the owners.

If you don't book through Airbnb you can't leave a review.
