We (just me and hubby) need a nice slothful, romantic beach holiday, lazing in the sun, with lots of swimming in the sea.
Will be much too lazy or busy reading to care about bars, shopping etc.
Only need a cold glass of wine and a view (preferably not of too many other tourists!)
However, I don't know the beaches in Europe at all, so I don't know where to start looking.
Where is nice? And not too expensive.
We'd love to hire a wee cottage with a BBQ and a pool, in the country or in a village - that is also near a beach - but we haven't won the lottery yet(!).

I'd say Corsica, assuming you want sand not rocks?

lapsedrunner · 07/06/2007 19:28

...but you'd have to go outside the peak season (i.e.cost).

I'd second Corsica - wonderful (although it's 19 years since my DH and I were there!) Would like to go back with the DCs sometime.

corsica. definitely! Stunning beaches on all sides of the island particularly in the south. Very laid back, not too far away, not too expensive.

And we're going there the day after tomorrow for a week

This
is the nicest beach in Europe . Can't guarantee the sunshine, though
