A question for travel agents

We're planning our trip over to see MIL which involves an international flight then a domestic flight via Istanbul. I would like to stay at a nearby airport hotel overnight without having to take all our luggage out with us. We've done this in the past and just used our hand luggage for overnights bits as the flight times worked out that we'd be sleeping overnight in the hotel otherwise. This time the flights fall too close together to justify staying in a hotel so my question is, can a travel agent arrange flights classed as one ongoing journey even if it's not a journey offered on the likes of sky scanner etc? For example, I'd like the 10:40am flight from the UK then a 5:30am domestic flight the following morning so we have a decent amount of time in the airport hotel. Is this possible if there's an option of a 10pm same day domestic flight so essentially getting you there quicker but not what we want.
I hope this makes sense! I know we could just do two bookings and take our luggage with us but we will have so much with car seats and the cases that it would be a right faff.

Hi Nightnight. Sorry to only just be replying but only just seen your post.

You need an agent who has an airline booking system such as Galileo and they should be able to do this for you so long as both airlines involved have an interline agreement.
It may not work out at the cheapest fare but no issue in checking anyway. (I am a retired travel agent with over 35 years in the industry and was well used to similar enquiries.)

If you don’t want to physically go into a travel agents - you will probably need an independent agent for this as the likes of Thomson/Thos. Cook rarely have access to Galileo - try calling someone like Trailfinders who are usually good.

Thank you so much for replying. That’s really helpful. It would be the same airline for both flights so that shouldn’t be an issue. Thanks again Smile
