Hi, I’ve posted a similar query in the travel advice section so apologies if this repeats but I wasn’t sure where to put it.
A friend has just suggested that someone on here may be able to help. We have 4 children ranging from 14 down to 4 and I’m looking for a holiday for next summer. I’m struggling to find anything within our budget which I thought was quite good but it appears not (10k) I don’t mind AI as long as it’s not a ‘Brits abroad’ who can be drunkest and loudest by lunch type of place. I’m looking for highest ratings on TA but I’d be happy with 4 upwards as an official rating but 5 TA rating if that makes sense. I understand I’d get more for my money in Turkey than Majorca but I’m open to most places. Oh and as there’s 6 of us so I guess I need a 2bed apartment. Thank you. Our budget is around 10k but we could stretch it slightly. It doesn’t seem to go far according to either Tui or TC though.

Wow! Thank you everyone! I don’t think a villa will work as the kids will be bored and I don’t want to feel I need to drive somewhere to entertain them.

Thank you to those who suggested Sani but close to 20k for us for next August!

I will have a look at Atlantica Mare in Cyprus and Atlantica in Crete again. I’m sure I looked at one or the other before and it was well over budget.

A suite would be fine, preferable even, but finding one that has 2 bedrooms thus sleeps 6 is proving elusive.

I will also have a look at the Martinhal Resort in Portugal, thank you.

Thank you so much for all taking the time to try and help. Amazing!

We had a lovely villa a couple of years ago I. Croatia near Dubrovnik and didn't have to drive anywhere for entertainment. Ferry to Dubrovnik, boat trips to islands, private pool to hang out and cool down when we wanted to. We booked villa and flights separately.

Not what you asked about, but just thought I'd mention it as perhaps worth not ruling out a villa altogether.

Try onthebeach.co.uk too to see what it throws up for resort holidays too.

I’d love a villa but I’m just not sure it would suit my children.

Just realised that Sani price was for just 1wk. 2wks at the end of July is coming out st 43k!!!!

It may be an unpopular opinion but I think you’re looking too early. The August flights have only just been released and so I would wait at least another month at the very least. Research shows 6 months ahead is the best time for good deals.

Property wise- The Pine Cliffs on the Algarve is nice amd they have town houses on the resort and so is the Hilton in Villamoura.

Check out these 2 resorts - you can't go wrong with either:
