Paris with teens / South of France

We're being super organised and have just booked accommodation for next summer. Staying a week in a little beach resort south of Marseille, then taking the TGV to Paris for 4 nights before flying home.

The south of france bit is pretty sorted as we'll be lying by the pool, going to the beach and eating croissants. However it's been a LONG time since either DH or I were in Paris and as we'll be travelling with two teenagers we'd appreciate "hidden gem" things to do with teens. We're staying in an AirBnb place near Javel – André Citroën metro in the 15th arrondissement, 20 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. DD spoted the Aquaboulevard water park just outside the Peripherique which might be a good wet weather plan?

Aquaboulevard is OK but nothing special really. There are lots more interesting things given that you are in Paris. Good weather, go up
In the air balloon in the Park Andre Citeon. Tour montparnasse is great to go up, better than Tour Eiffel. Museum of Modern Art at Trocedero, free and very good. The Monet museum near Passy metro, all near to you. Aux Artistes restaurant on Rue Falguire in the 15th (you can get the bus from the parc), have a look what exhibitions there are at the Institut du Monde Arab, they often have great ones and not far from you. A walk down the Champs Elysee looking at the concept cars in the showrooms. Depends on what you teens enjoy.

In a way you don’t really need a weather plan in Paris, unless it is summer and you are intending to spend the day at Paris plage it is just the same.
