If you could back back to any place abroad you've been, where would it be and why?

So am looking for inspiration for next years holidays, where was your most amazing holiday? What made it the best holiday and what hotel did you stay in? Any links would be great too.

St Kitts - stopped off as part of a Caribbean cruise. Beautiful, peaceful, lush green island, friendly people, beautiful beaches.

Barbados - same as above but more vibrant.

New York - say no more.

Quebec Province. Lovely country, good food and interesting mix of outdoor and history. I loved Monteral and Quebec City.

Thailand - did a guided tour from Bankgok to Chiang Mai and a week beach in Koh Samui.

I now have to either find money to do both again, now with DD or decide on just one.

New York. It was amazing. We will go back one day when the kids are older

Chamonix - beautiful in winter, stunningly beautiful in Summer

Washington DC - much better than NYC in my opinion

The 12 Apostles in Australia - great road trip

Route 66 - did a small section, want to do it all!

There are so many places I'd love to go back to. What kind of vacation are you looking to have? What do you like to get out of a holiday---rest/relaxation/nice beach/culture/food?

Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

Dubrovnik- popped in on a cruise, was stunned at how beautiful it is. Recommended to SIL who went with family this summer and loved it. Desperate to go back for longer. Loved Split in Croatia too actually.

Israel. It was nothing like I had Imagined, nothing like you see in the media!
So much history, absolutely stunning scenery and the happiest, friendliest people I've ever met, all coexisting peacefully. I was surprised how safe it felt, too.
I only visited the centre (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the Dead sea), but would love to go back to explore both the Northern and Southern parts of the country.
