Lisbon and around - Oct Half term

Considering Lisbon for Oct half term with DH and DC (9 and 7).

Would like a few nights in the city then maybe a few nights at the coast.
What’s the weather likely to be like, and any good suggestions for a good hotel close to Lisbon but good for RnR? Will look for an AirBnb in Lisbon.

October is a lovely month to visit because it's not so hot that it's debilitating but still pleasantly t shirt weather. The sea stays warm enough for swimming.

Sintra is about 40 minutes away by train and is an amazing place to visit - palaces and castles, a world heritage site. A really good day trip. Lisbon itself is very beautiful and seemed to me very chilled - much smaller and calmer than other European capitals. Lots of hills though - everything is on a slope.

Hills we can do. Sounds like a good bet, then. Will get on with some research.
