Puerto Pollensa Majorca - suitable for older kids?

We love the look of Puerto Pollensa but I’m a bit worried that the entertainment in some of the hotels will be too young for my 11yo dd. Does anyone have any thoughts on where best to stay for a tween?

Thanks

PP has been a favourite of ours. We last went in 2016 when our daughter was just turned 11 - the beach is lovely and you can hire pedaloes with slides on. We’ve never stayed in a hotel - we have rented apartments

We went 2 years ago when mine were 13,11, 9 and 8......didn't stay in hotel did an apartment but no one was bored and they still rate as best holiday.

We spent evenings sitting in taverna int he square or on the pine walk watching. World go by, stroll on beach with ice cream etc.

All hotel entertainment may be a bit naff at that age wherever u are?

The apartments at bellesreguard are great, there are good pools and a nice walk back along the pine walk in the evening. They are also close to the hotel Villa D’or, where you can sit drinking cocktails and feed the fish in the sea.

Have you just got one child OP? PP is lovely. We stayed at the Playa Mar when our two were 6 and 7 and they were at the older age range as it was more focused to younger children there.
Their are lots of private let’s but if your DD likes to make holiday friends look for a hotel or self catering apartments with shared pool (preferably with activities for up to 14 year olds) that way it’s more likely to attract children of her age rather than just little tots.

Yes DD is 10 and had a fab holiday this year. We stayed at Puerto Azul. The have activities round the pool that are suitable for older kids and as it’s a smallish hotel, the children all seem to make friends quite quickly.

Playa Mar is further out but also worth considering.

Not PP but I can recommend the Falésia Mar or Falésia Garden in the Algarve. It’s an apart hotel (fab breakfasts) it also does HB but we prefer to eat out on a night as it can get repetitive on an evening. It has lots of activities for children across the ages so she’s sure to meet some friends around her own age. No children’s club as such but things like Archery, football, tennis, aqua polo, aqua dance, yoga, mini challenges around the pool. Their is also a small games room new this year and a park. The animation team are fantastic. It’s with Jet2 or you can book direct with 3HB hotels. Their are two other hotels in the the same group Clube Humbria is another one. I haven’t stayed at CH but all the hotels in the 3HB group get excellent reviews on T/A.
