I stayed in the riad cherrata. Not a hotel but lovely!

We’ve stayed here twice:

The Yakout Suite is particularly nice if you have children as it is split level and the downstairs sofas can be converted into single beds.

The owner, Laurent is lovely and very helpful!

It’s just off the old spice market and an easy ten minute walk to the main square/markets.

Lady at riad cherrata gave us a local mobile with approved taxi numbers on it which was handy! Also some hand drawn maps of the area.

We also did a private 4x4 jeep safari into the Atlas Mountains which was great.

Road Magellan if you want to be in the souks - lovely and reasonably priced.
