Splash landings at Alton towers, or Water World in Stoke on Trent?

Which would you recommend? I'd be coming from Shropshire, either there and back in a day or if they're both worth it, stopping overnight and doing 2 in 2 days. The question is are they both worth it? Or neither of them worth it? Or one but not the other? It's just adults, no children, but not adrenaline junkies - happy with moderately fun slides. Enjoyed Splashdown in Poole though and would like to do a waterpark as not going abroad this year and no holiday is the same without one.

I went to splash landings recently with DC aged 16 and 11. It was fine but definitely aimed at families with younger children, we wouldn't go again. Have never been to Water World, so can't help there.

I went to Alton towers with my 12 year old and his friends and my 16 year old dd. Dd and I had a great time and left the 12 year olds too it.

I’ve been to both. Definitely splash landings I would say!
