Domestic EasyJet Flight with expired passport

I'm flying easyJet with friends next week and one of them just remember their passport expired!!! It says on easyjet website that they will accept a valid passport as photo ID up to five years after expiry.

I'm paranoid so I wanted to check if anyone has done this or had any problems using an expired passport. I've heard stories about staff making mistakes or being told something different from what the website says.

The person doesn't have a driving licence or any other photo ID easyJet accept.

Please put my mind to rest MN Grin

If that is what the website states then screenshot it and take it with you. Or you could ring them. Or your friend could get their passport renewed at their nearest passport office.

They should accept a driving license as photo ID for a domestic flight.

Driving license should be fine for an internal flight.
