Terrified of Boats and taking a Ferry

Long Story Short, Had a terrible experience almost 10 Years a go where I was caught in extreme Weather whilst one a Boat Trip on Holiday. It was so serious we thought we were not going to Survive the Journey ☹️ I haven't been on a Boat since but next Week we are taking Our Son to Disneyland Paris via the Ferry, I have never told my Husband how serious my Fear is since that day as I don't like to talk about it and it was before we met. Just wondering if anyone has any tips / facts to get me through? What are the chances of extreme weather happening during the Journey? Would love to be the bravest Mummy for my Son but I'm having such trouble sleeping with the day getting closer...

Are you going Dover to Calais?

It is such a short journey I wouldn't even worry about it. There are so many other boats around should anything happen.

We get the ferry quite often from Uk to Spain on Brittany Ferries, never really had bad weather. The ships are built to be stable on choppy seas.

Take some stugeron before hand in case of sickness and have a lovely time.
