Cambodia or Maldives?

I'm trying to squeeze in a holiday in Nov/Dec and deciding between Cambodia and Maldives. I realise that they would be extremely different holidays.
Has anyone been to both and could advise on their experiences?

I haven't been to both but I have been to Cambodia. It's an amazing place.
Happy to try to answer any questions

Only been to Cambodia, but agree with glitter it's amazing. Personally the Maldives would bore me senseless...
I have been to Cambodia several times - Angkor Wat is stunning and the town of Siem Reap is also nice - away from pub street and the night market there are some great shops selling fabulous handicrafts and really good restaurants. I would check that you are up to date with travel vaccinations - tetanus, hep a and b etc.
E visa is easy to arrange and you avoid the queues when you arrive.
P Penh is also really interesting- palace, temples, the killing fields etc and again great restaurants.
There are several restaurants that train street kids to find jobs in hospitality.
It's easy to hire a car and driver to go from P Penh to S Reap - about 4 to 5 hours and costs about 60/80 US dollars. Dollars are accepted everywhere in SR and PP. I have friends who have visited Sihanoukville but have heard mixed reviews - great to it's a dump. There is lot of Chinese investment in the town which brings massive hotels and casinos - not to everyone's taste...

I've been to both and I prefer the Maldvies. But then again, I love the ocean and dive and snorkel whenever I can. What do you prefer? Relax and be in the ocean or explore culture? As you say, two totally different holidays.

Actually, depending on how long you go for, you could do Ankor Wat etc and then head out to one of the Cambodian islands for some downtime after? We loved Koh Rong Samloem and the beaches and reefs are pretty good.

Alone Cambodia would be more interesting with children I would opt for Maldives unless they are all over ten just because it is easier.
