Some advice would be great - currently expecting no 3, have dd nearly 5 and dd 2 and a half. Our ford focus estate won't take 3 car seats in back, and we won't have any room for mil when she comes to visit, so reluctantly looking at getting second-hand mpv instead. Ford galaxies and Vauxhall zafiras seem to get good write ups, we would be looking to buy about a 2001 model. Can anyone give me any advice?

Have just bought A Vauxhall Meriva. I've got two carseats in the back and there is room for another seat/adult. We looked at Zafira's too. Bigger than a Meriva. But still lots of space.

we only have 2 children & aren't having any more but bought 2003 zafira in october & love it. We use the extra seats in back loads as we often lookafter my nephews who are 11 & 13 so car seats not an issue. However a word of warning, our is an '03' and still has a lap belt in middle of back seat, i think you have to move to an '04' before you get a proper middle seat belt so not sure about getting 3 seats in back

If you can afford it the VW Touran is great. it can be a 5 or 7 seater (two fold-down seats in the boot).
I wanted to buy one but it's a bit on the pricey side.
It also looks a bit sleeker than most MPVs.

We have a renault grand scenic, which was much better value than the Zafira, has 3 proper seat belts in the back, and boot space when the 2 extra seats are up. We have 3 children under 5 in big car seats btw, as I imagine you will have.

We have 3 under 4 yrs and have just got a citroen picasso grandis. Interest free credit swung it for us. Enough room for 3 kiddy seats across the back and grandparents in the boot (on seats!)
