Hi, we'll have a one night stopover in St Malo this summer. Can anyone recommend a hotel in or nearish to town, not too expensive and with a bit of character? Somewhere which can accommodate 2 kids under 5 in our room?? Any suggestions?

It is always worth having a look at the Logis de France hotels in the area. Sorry, don't know any of the hotels, but St Malo is an interesting place - particularly the old town.

Thank you, will check out Logis. I searched for old messages on this and 2 other people had posted about hotels in St Malo - with no replies!!!

Oooh, we stayed at the Novotel Thalasotherapy hotel in Dinard - just 5 mins round the coast from St malo. It's on the headland overlooking St malo harbour and bay and it's gorgeous!!! Our kids stayed in our room, the restaurant was great with family friendly food andservice andthe gardens (and play area!) are lovely. As it's a thalasotherapy spa they had a pool and all those facilities but we didn't get round to usng them as it was a 1 night stopover for us too. It was great and I'd stay there again! It wasonly about £40 - £50 for B&B for the 4 of us.
